Date: Sunday 25 July 2021, Start: Mass wave start, Start time: 08:00 hrs, Sprint OUREA Xtrem at Champéry, 24km point.
Keen to take a short journey into Switzerland? This stage will lead you into the mountains and pastures of the Canton of Valais, criss-crossing the pretty villages of Le Val d’Illiez and Champéry whilst taking in the incredible view across Les Dents du Midi.
Using the Chairlifts from Avoriaz, spectators will be able to cheer on the trail runners at 3 points:
- To get to the 7km point: use the chairlifts of Lindarets, Léchère and Mossettes
- Then to get to the 24km point: From the 7km point, get back on the Swiss side of the Mossettes chairlift and then the Crosets chairlift and the Champéry/Croix de Culet cable car
- To get to the 29km point: Get back on the Champéry/Croix de Culet cable car
