The Cronoscalata Sarezzo - Sant'Emiliano was born in 1972 thanks to GAM (Gruppo Autonomo Montano) and Unione Atletica Valtrompia.
Athletes depart at a distance of one minute from each other.
The race is 5,5 km long, the first 2,5 kilometers of which are on asphalt; then begin the three hardest kilometers on a dirt track, which leads to the sanctuary.
