Create a map in pdf format
On Trace De Trail there are advanced functions available to you for creating personalised maps or road-books in pdf format. Like this you can print your document or even save it on your computer or smartphone
To create a pdf map, on the page of a track, in the menu “Actions”, you have a choice of two tools: “Pdf file”, to create a pdf map in a couple of clicks, and “New road-book page” for a personalised document.
Generate your pdf file in a couple of clicks
The tool “Pdf file” allows you to quickly generate a pdf file with the map of your route and its altimetric profile. You can personalise the colour and thickness of the track, as well as the map base. By then clicking on “Generate the pdf file”, you can directly download the file in pdf format.
Personalise your pdf file with advanced parameters
The function « New road-book page » offers you a large choice of ways to personalise your file with the advanced parameters : orientation of your page, content to be posted, map base, personalise the titles, post the profile and the kilometre bubbles. You can equally choose to post the complete track on the map or only a section of the track to create a road-book of several pages.
To know more... Click on the information icons “i” to show the detail of the parameter in an tooltip.
Your personalised page can contain between 1 and 3 blocks of data. The pink block obligatorily refers to the map. The white and grey blocks can contain a description, an image or a profile, of your entire track or just a section of it if you have selected the option “Section of track”.
You may choose to post the complete track so that your entire map appears on the page, or sections of your track to cover its entirety over several pages, at a finer scale. In this last case, you must state the superior and inferior kilometer of the section. You can use an automatic calculation of the superior kilometer for optimal adjustment.
When the update of your pages is finished, you must give it a name before saving it by clicking on “Create a road-book page”. If you wish to create a road-book section by section, proceed in the same manner to create each page.
Understand... if you decide to only post a section of the track, you must choose a scale for it: in this case, the zoom function on the map is deactivated.
Once all your pages have been created, on your page go to “Menu / My road-books” to generate your file in pdf format. There you will find all your previously created pages. Use the icons “+” to add pages to your road-book. You can also delete a page (“cross” tool) or change the title and/or sub-title 'icon “crayon”).
